Every Texan is now recruiting three interns to join us in our people-centered policy work! We’re looking for current students based in Texas who are committed to building a state where all Texans are healthy, well-educated, and financially secure. These are paid, remote, and part-time positions that give students a chance to gain experience with some of Texas’ best policy experts. Check out the descriptions below and apply by April 22! Health and Food Justice As the Health and Food Justice Intern, you’ll be helping ensure all Texans have access to quality affordable health care, that no Texan goes hungry, and that all Texans have access to needed public benefits. You’ll also get hands-on experience working with statewide coalitions like the Children’s Health Coverage Coalition and the Cover Texas Now Coalition. Because of the duties involved, the ideal successful intern will be interested in and considered for continuation through May 2023. Read the full job description and apply >> Research and Data As part of the Research and Data Team, you’ll strengthen Every Texan’s cross-area work by using data to connect the dots and engaging allies in the pursuit of Every Texan’s vision for Texas. You’ll gain experience in working with large secondary data sets, analyzing the social and policy implications of the data, and assisting in the development of related deliverables. You’ll work with the Legislative and Policy Director to advance Every Texan's policy objectives at the state, local, and federal levels.
