Every Texan is looking for five new interns to support the organization's mission to build a state where all Texans are healthy, well-educated, and financially secure. Research & Data Internship Strengthen Every Texan’s cross-area work by using data to connect the dots and engaging allies in the pursuit of Every Texan’s vision for Texas. We are looking for a student with an interest in data management and analysis and its relation to policy development. The intern will learn how to work with large secondary data sets, analyze the social and policy implications of the data, and assist in the development of related deliverables. This is a full-time position in the summer, and depending on funding, we may also have part-time internships available in the fall. Read the full job description and apply >> Health & Wellness Internship Support our work in ensuring all Texans have access to quality affordable health care, that no Texan goes hungry, and that all Texans have access to needed public benefits. If the intern requests, we will work with them to identify an area of health or nutrition policy research that is relevant to Every Texan’s work and coordinated with the intern’s academic goals in which they can engage. Summer internship program dates are June 2021 through August 2021. Because of the duties involved, the ideal successful intern will be interested in, and considered for continuation through May 2022. Read the full job description and apply >> Economic Opportunity Internship Gain expertise in a variety of the Economic Opportunity Team’s policy areas, including public education, higher education, good jobs policies, and asset protection. Key responsibilities include researching policies to expand access to good jobs and college affordability, writing short briefs or blog posts on various policy topics, and assisting with managing and analyzing education and workforce data sets. This is a part-time internship set for June 2021 through August 2021. Applicants should have strong writing or production abilities, solid time management and organizational skills, and a passion for public policy.
