Join Every Texan’s policy experts, Anne Dunkelberg, Dick Lavine, and Ashley Williams along with two of our Capitol champions, Rep. Donna Howard and Rep. Diego Bernal for a dynamic conversation on Texas’ equitable recovery. Looking ahead to the 87th Legislative Session, journalist Abby Rapoport will moderate a discussion about the policy priorities Texas needs for an equitable recovery that addresses the longstanding inequities the COVID-19 crisis has underscored.
Rep. Diego Bernal
Representative Bernal was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in February 2015. He represents District 123, home to downtown and north central San Antonio, parts of the city's West Side, along with the City of Castle Hills. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Public Education and is also a member of the Local and Consent Calendars Committee and the House Committee on Transportation.
Rep. Donna Howard
Representative Donna Howard has served in the Texas House of Representatives since 2006. She is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, and sits on its Article III Subcommittee which oversees education spending in the state budget. Donna serves as Vice Chair of the House Administration Committee, and is also a longtime member of the Higher Education and House Administration Committees.
